This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Police Chief John Sabol upon the occasion of his retirement after 38 years of dedicated public service. Chief Sabol began his career in law enforcement as an officer for the Borough of Blawnox in May 1976. He joined the Aspinwall Police Department in April 1988, and he has served as the police chief for the Borough of Aspinwall since October 2007. An Aspinwall native, Chief Sabol has diligently guarded the safety of Aspinwall’s residents over the course of his exemplary career. Chief Sabol’s dedication to serving his community has earned the esteem and respect of the citizens of Aspinwall and Allegheny County, and for this we commend him. On behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate Chief John Sabol upon the momentous occasion of his retirement from the Aspinwall Police Department, and we thank him for his dedication to upholding the noble precepts of law enforcement and public protection for 38 years. We wish Chief Sabol health and happiness in his retirement and join his family and friends in celebration of this milestone.
