This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Ms. Charlene Flaherty upon the monumental occasion of her retirement after 43 years of dedicated service to the John J. Kane Regional Centers, Allegheny County’s skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers. Charlene studied nursing at Washington Hospital and began working as a Registered Nurse (RN) for Kane on November 27, 1972. She worked part-time and full-time through April 28, 1977, she returned as a part-time RN Supervisor from 1980 to 1981, and later as an RN Supervisor in 1990. During her tenure at Kane, Charlene has served as an RN Instructor (1991), as a Community Services Manager (1998-2008), and as the McKeesport Regional Center Administrator (2008-2015). Charlene will retire from Allegheny County on July 27, 2015 after 43 years of dedicated service to Kane residents and their families. On behalf of the citizens of Allegheny County, Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate Charlene Flaherty upon the momentous occasion of her retirement, we thank her for her time, effort and dedication over the past 43 years, and we wish her all the best on her future endeavors.
