Proclamation congratulating the West Mifflin No. 3 Volunteer Fire Company upon the momentous occasion of its 75th anniversary.

WHEREAS, founded in 1940, the West Mifflin No. 3 Volunteer Fire Company, Station 295, located at 3722 Rodeo Drive, is dedicated to the preservation of life and the protection of property in West Mifflin, and when called upon, in surrounding communities; and
WHEREAS, the West Mifflin No. 3 Volunteer Fire Company houses four-firefighting vehicles, including a 1989 Grumman Aerial Cat Truck, a 2003 Saulsbury Heavy Rescue Pumper, a 1990 Grumman Engine and a 2006 Ford F-350 Squad Truck; and
WHEREAS, the West Mifflin No. 3 Volunteer Fire Company promotes social fellowship and good will among the officers and members of the department, and they strive to promote and preserve the safety, affordability and desirability of their community as a comfortable and pleasant place to live and work; and
WHEREAS, the West Mifflin No. 3 Volunteer Fire Company is one of the greatest community assets of West Mifflin. The citizenry of Allegheny County thanks the Company for its dedication and unparalleled level of service and professionalism;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate the West Mifflin No. 3 Volunteer Fire Company upon the momentous occasion of its 75th anniversary. We recognize and commend the West Mifflin No. 3 Volunteer Fire Company for their unwavering dedication to safety and rescue, and we thank them for the watchful protection and service they provide to the residents of West Mifflin.
