Proclamation recognizing the 2015 Health Care Heroes Finalists and thanking the individuals and organizations that make this region one of the premier health care centers in the world.

 

Body...

 

WHEREAS, the health care industry has been among the cornerstones of our regional economy for many years; and

 

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is recognized internationally as a leading health care community, where the best physicians and institutions continually break new ground in care and medical research; and

 

WHEREAS, on September 9, 2015 at the Omni William Penn Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh, 29 individuals and 10 organizations will be honored by the 2015 Health Care Heroes awards, a program recognizing the people and agencies who are instrumental in making this region one of the premier health care centers in the world; and

 

                     WHEREAS, the 2015 Health Care Heroes event is sponsored by the  Pittsburgh Business Times and presenting sponsor Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate the 2015 Health Care Heroes Finalists, and we thank the individuals, companies and organizations for their dedication and commitment to providing exceptional health care for residents of Allegheny County and the region.
