This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to Mr. Rich Esswein in celebration of his induction into the North Hills Sports Hall of Fame on September 10, 2015. Mr. Esswein is a 1981 graduate of North Hills High School.  His tireless efforts to support the North Hills sports program over the years led to his selection for induction to the North Hills Sports Hall of Fame as a community contributor. The North Hills varsity wrestler coached youth wrestlers as a student at North Hills.  After high school, he competed at the University of Pittsburgh. These many distinguished achievements are worthy of our County of Champions, earning the esteem of the citizens of Allegheny County. We commend you for bringing lasting fame and recognition to Allegheny County through your athletic achievements, which serves as an inspiration to us all.  

 

This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to Ms. Rhonda Caye Vorndran in celebration of her induction into the North Hills Sports Hall of Fame on September 10, 2015. Ms. Vorndran is a 1980 graduate of North Hills High School.  She played basketball and volleyball and shined in softball. As a junior, she hit over .500 for an Indians team that won the section championship. She batted over .300 and led the North Hills to WPIAL and state titles as a senior. An outfielder, she went on to play for Clarion University. These many distinguished achievements are worthy of our County of Champions, earning the esteem of the citizens of Allegheny County. We commend you for bringing lasting fame and recognition to Allegheny County through your athletic achievements, which serves as an inspiration to us all.  

 

This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to Mr. Tim White in celebration of his induction into the North Hills Sports Hall of Fame on September 10, 2015. Mr. White is a 1969 graduate of North Hills High School.  He was an outfielder on the baseball team that won section titles and made the WPIAL playoffs in 1968-1969 and was a standout guard on the North Hills basketball team. He began his college basketball career at the University of Arkansas before transferring to Appalachian State in North Carolina.  He became an assistant basketball coach and then head coach at Manteo High School in North Carolina and was part of two teams that made it to the state semi-finals. These many distinguished achievements are worthy of our County of Champions, earning the esteem of the citizens of Allegheny County. We commend you for bringing lasting fame and recognition to Allegheny County through your athletic achievements, which serves as an inspiration to us all.  

 

This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to Mr. Vince Sebal in celebration of his induction into the North Hills Sports Hall of Fame on September 10, 2015. Mr. Sebal is a 1983 graduate of North Hills High School.  He was a football and track and field standout at North Hills High School. He helped the North Hills football team to a WPIAL title in 1982 and was also a WPIAL high-jump champion. After high school, he played football for the University of Louisville in Kentucky. These many distinguished achievements are worthy of our County of Champions, earning the esteem of the citizens of Allegheny County. We commend you for bringing lasting fame and recognition to Allegheny County through your athletic achievements, which serves as an inspiration to us all.  

 

This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to Mr. William Knoch in celebration of his induction into the North Hills Sports Hall of Fame on September 10, 2015. Mr. Knoch is a 1960 graduate of North Hills High School.  He spent nine seasons in the Pirates baseball organization as a pitcher, rising to the Triple A level, one short of the major leagues.  He led North Hills to the WPIAL baseball semifinals his junior and senior years and also played football and basketball in high school. These many distinguished achievements are worthy of our County of Champions, earning the esteem of the citizens of Allegheny County. We commend you for bringing lasting fame and recognition to Allegheny County through your athletic achievements, which serves as an inspiration to us all.
