A motion to approve the minutes referenced within this motion comprising the committee meetings of Allegheny County Council for the 2014-2015 Council term which have not appeared on an agenda during the current term for approval.

Whereas, each term of Council is defined in two year increments following each municipal election cycle, and the Rules of Council currently state that the President of Council shall be chosen and preside over the appointment of committee chairs at the January meeting beginning each term; and
Whereas, not all committees of Council meet regularly, leaving minutes left unapproved for the term; and
Whereas, the new term will necessarily include new council members and different committee memberships, Council desires to approve all unapproved minutes prior to membership changes allowing the members to approve the minutes for meetings which they attended; and
Whereas, it is the practice of Allegheny County Council to approve each set of minutes for committee and regular meetings prior to “publishing” them to the public; and
Whereas, the minutes contained within this motion for approval have been circulated to all Members of Council prior to this meeting; and
Whereas, in the interest of efficiency and public availability of the minutes Council desires to conduct housekeeping during the final meeting of each term to approve all outstanding minutes for the current term prior to its expiration;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,
That this Council hereby approves the following minutes:
