This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to Mary Esther Van Shura, the Director of Community Affairs in the County Executive’s Office, for earning the 2015 Charles W. Pruitt Jr. Award of Excellence from the Southwestern Pennsylvania Partnership for Aging. The award recognizes the outstanding efforts in the field of aging which has a regional, state or national impact. Dr. Van Shura was recognized for her lifetime commitment to the betterment of life of seniors and people with disabilities in so many important ways. Her nomination also lauded her for having been critical in promoting the cause and needs of seniors and persons with disabilities in all levels of government. Dr. Van Shura was honored on December 2, 2015 at the Southwestern Pennsylvania Partnership for Aging’s annual meeting. This Council commends Dr. Mary Esther Van Shura for earning the 2015 Charles W. Pruitt, Jr. Award of Excellence, and we thank you for your outstanding contributions to the field of aging.
