Certificates of Achievement awarded to Mr. Samuel Miller, Jr., Mr. Peter Poplos, Mr. Brandon Ferruzza, and Mr. Jarrett Parker of Boy Scout Troop 248 for earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Samuel J. Miller, Jr. in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, scouting’s most distinguished honor. We commend Mr. Miller’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career, his growth as a troop leader, and his dedication to our community. For his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Miller organized a Pennsylvania Child Identification Program (PA CHIP) at South Fayette High School. He also worked with The Free & Accepted Masons of Oakdale Lodge No. 669 to assist over 50 families. In addition to his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Miller achieved 48 Merit Badges and held several leadership positions within Troop 248. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Miller has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow.  He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

 

This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Peter A. Poplos in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, scouting’s most distinguished honor. We commend Mr. Poplos’ diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career, his growth as a troop leader, and his dedication to our community. For his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Poplos developed and managed a recycling program for All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. The revenue from the recycled materials were donated to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. In addition to his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Poplos achieved 41 Merit Badges and held several leadership positions within Troop 248. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Poplos has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow.  He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

 

 

This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Brandon J. Ferruzza in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, scouting’s most distinguished honor. We commend Mr. Ferruzza’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career, his growth as a troop leader, and his dedication to our community. For his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Ferruzza built three handicap-accessible trails at Donaldson Park in North Fayette Township. In addition to his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Ferruzza achieved 38 Merit Badges and held several leadership positions within Troop 248. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Ferruzza has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow.  He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

 

 

This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Jarrett W. Parker in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, scouting’s most distinguished honor. We commend Mr. Parker’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career, his growth as a troop leader, and his dedication to our community. For his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Parker raised funds, purchased and transported materials to build two (2) six foot by sixteen foot walking bridges for the Pittsburgh Botanic Gardens. In addition to his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Parker achieved 27 Merit Badges and held several leadership positions within Troop 248. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Parker has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow.  He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
