Proclamation thanking the Honorable Bart E. Bodkin for his dedicated service to O’Hara Township.

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is blessed with individuals dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our neighborhood and the community as a whole; individuals such as The Honorable Bart E. Bodkin who has placed his stamp of character and hard work throughout the community, as both a public servant and a strong leader; and
WHEREAS, in January 2011, Bart Bodkin was appointed to serve as an At-Large Member of the O’Hara Township Council, representing more than 8,000 residents. Because of his leadership, confidence and community presence he was elected on November 8, 2011 by the residents of O’Hara Township to serve a full four-year term; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bodkin, an attorney who has lived in the township for more than 20 years, served on the township’s Republican Committee prior to serving on O’Hara Township Council; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure on council, Mr. Bodkin served on several committees and helped to establish the new Lauri Ann West Community Center;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Allegheny County Council does hereby thank The Honorable Bart E. Bodkin for his dedicated service to O’Hara Township. We commend Mr. Bodkin for always acting in the best interests of the constituents of O’Hara Township, and we wish him and his family all the best in the future.
