Body...

This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Mr. George Kohler upon the momentous occasion of his 100th birthday. Mr. Kohler was born on December 29, 1915, the fifth of seven children. He attended South Hills High School and married his high school sweetheart, Rita.  The couple was married for 67 years until she passed away in 2001 at the age of 86. They had seven children; five are living. Mr. Kohler worked as a draftsman at Mesta Machine Co. in Homestead and later earned an engineering degree from Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon University). Mr. Kohler and his colleagues built equipment for use in World War II.  Mr. Kohler was the first usher at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Virgin in Whitehall where he served for 46 years.  We honor Mr. George Kohler for his longevity, which can be attributed to his positive outlook on life, and we wish him and his family all the best as he celebrates his 100th birthday.
