An Ordinance of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, authorizing the use of real property in the County’s South Park by the United States Table Tennis Association, d/b/a USA Table Tennis and the South Park Table Tennis Club.

Whereas, The County of Allegheny is the owner of real property on Buffalo Drive, in the County’s South Park, known as the Home Economics Building,
Whereas, The Department of Parks is requesting the use of the property on Buffalo Drive in the County’s South Park as a venue for table tennis activities coordinated by the South Park Table Tennis Club,
Whereas, The Department of Parks recognizes that the South Park Table Tennis Club will continue to provide general maintenance within the Home Economics Building and the immediate area surrounding the Building,
Whereas, The Department of Parks recognizes the recreational and community service value provided to the County’s residents through the availability of the activities coordinated by the South Park Table Tennis Club,
Whereas, Article IV, Section 2(k) of the Allegheny County Home rule Charter vests County Council with the power and duty by ordinance to lease or permit the use of County property.
The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby enacts as follows:
SECTION 1. Incorporation of the Preamble.
The provisions set forth in the preamble to this Ordinance are incorporated by reference as set forth in their entirety herein.
SECTION 2. Authorization to permit the Use of County Real Property.
County Council does hereby authorize the use of the house located on Buffalo Drive, known as the Home Economics Building, in the County’s South Park as a venue for table tennis activities coordinated by the South Park Table Tennis Club. The appropriate County officers and officials are authorized to take such action as is necessary to carry out the purposes of the authorization granted herein.
