Proclamation commending the Pittsburgh Service Summit honorees and naming March 29, 2016 as “Get Involved! Service Summit Day” in Allegheny County.

WHEREAS, Get Involved!, Inc., was founded in 2011 by The Honorable Tom Baker to provide programs that develop, educate, and engage students and young professionals in order to encourage them to become active assets to their communities; and
WHEREAS, on March 29, 2016, the 7th Annual Pittsburgh Service Summit will take place at Carlow University and will give recognition to outstanding activists and individuals for their positive contributions to the community. The event, which is open to the public, will also feature a variety of local vendors who will be available to educate attendees about ways they can become more civically involved; and
WHEREAS, this year’s honorees include the following meritorious individuals:
