Proclamation thanking The Honorable Glenn Dandoy for his eight years of dedicated service to the Township of Upper St. Clair.

WHEREAS, Allegheny County is blessed with individuals dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our neighborhood and the community as a whole; individuals such as The Honorable Glenn R. Dandoy who has placed his stamp of character and hard work throughout the community, as both a public servant and a strong leader; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dandoy, a graduate of Grove City College, was sworn into office to serve as an Upper St. Clair Township Commissioner in January 2008; and
WHEREAS, as a member of the community development committee, Commissioner Dandoy spearheaded initial research leading to the preparation of the McLaughlin Run Corridor Study. He was also an active member of the board during the approval, construction, and opening of the Community and Recreation Center at Boyce Mayview Park; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure on the board of commissioners, Commissioner Dandoy served as vice-president, chair of the community development committee, the human resources committee and the public safety committee, as a member of the parks and recreation committee and as representative or alternate to the South Hills Area Council of Governments (SHACOG); and
WHEREAS, Mr. Glenn Dandoy and his wife, Bobbie, reside in Upper St. Clair Township and have five children, Amy, Jim, Russell, Hannah and Natalie. He is the regional marketing manager for Country Meadows Retirement Communities in South Fayette;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Allegheny County Council does hereby thank The Honorable Glenn R. Dandoy for his eight years of dedicated service to the residents of Upper St. Clair Township. We commend Mr. Dandoy for always acting in the best interests of the constituents of Upper St. Clair Township, and we wish him and his family all the best in the future.
