WHEREAS, City Co Federal Credit Union of Allegheny County has a 75 year tradition of serving community members through financial services, volunteerism and educational initiatives; and
WHEREAS, City Co Federal Credit Union was chartered on January 2, 1941 to provide affordable financial products and services to Allegheny County and City of Pittsburgh employees and their families; and
WHEREAS, City Co Federal Credit Union has grown its membership to over 4,300 with assets of more than $20 million; and
WHEREAS, in 2014, the City Co Federal Credit Union earned the First Place Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Member Service Award, a national award for programs or policies that demonstrate the credit union’s commitment to the practical application of the “People-Helping-People” philosophy; and
WHEREAS, the City Co Federal Credit Union was recognized for its exceptional community service and featured on the #CUdifference Story Wall at the Credit Union National Association, Governmental Affairs Conference, held February 21-25, 2016 in Washington D.C.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate City Co Federal Credit Union upon the momentous occasion of its 75th Anniversary, and we recognize the many contributions City Co Federal Credit Union, its employees and board members have made for the community, both tangible and intangible, through the years, and we honor and express appreciation for their service and commitment.
