This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Jonathan William Summers of Boy Scout Troop 4 in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest Boy Scout rank; only five percent of all Boy Scouts earn this rank. Mr. Summers has met all necessary requirements in areas of Leadership, Service and Outdoor Skills to advance to the Eagle Scout rank. This Council commends Mr. Summers’ diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career and his dedication to our community. For his leadership service project, Jonathan organized and led a group of volunteers to improve the Cornerstone Christian Preparatory Academy by using drywall to cover unused fireplaces in 8 classrooms. Mr. Summers, a senior at Upper St. Clair High School, has been named a Johns Hopkins Young Achiever, a National Merit Scholar Commended Student, a Member of the American University Scholars Program and recipient of an ROTC scholarship. He is also a talented athlete and gifted musician. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Jonathan William Summers has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow. He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
