This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to the South Fayette Middle School in honor of the school’s prestigious 2016 Pennsylvania Don Eichhorn Schools: “Schools to Watch” designation. South Fayette Middle School is one of six new schools to achieve the 2016 Pennsylvania Don Eichhorn Schools: “Schools to Watch” honor which recognizes a small number of diverse, high-performing, growth-oriented middle schools. South Fayette Middle School is being honored for academic excellence, developmental responsiveness, social equity, organizational structures and processes, and in particular, the school’s exceptional technology program. South Fayette Middle School was the first of 65 schools in the world to establish a state-of-the-art digital learning studio, equipped with advanced computers, printers, software and educator guides. The studio corresponds with South Fayette’s STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) program implemented in the South Fayette School District. This Council congratulates the South Fayette Middle School for becoming one of just 35 schools in Pennsylvania to receive the “Schools to Watch” honor since its inception, and we recognize the South Fayette School District for its leadership and excellence in education.
