This Certificate of Recognition is awarded to Mr. Leo Rudzki, Jr. upon his retirement as the Chief of Police of Sharpsburg Borough Police Department after 41 years of honorable service. Mr. Rudzki joined the Sharpsburg Borough Police Department on June 1, 1975 as a patrolman. Chief Rudzki’s accomplishments are many and varied and have established Sharpsburg Borough’s Police Department as a model. He has diligently guarded the safety of the nearly 4,000 residents of Sharpsburg over the course of his exemplary 41-year career, and this endeavor has earned both the esteem and the respect of the citizens of Allegheny County. His dedication to serving his community even at great risk to himself has conferred honor upon Chief Rudzki, and this Council wishes him health and happiness in his retirement. Furthermore, we join with Chief Rudzki’s family and friends in celebrating this momentous occasion with him, and we thank him for his dedicated service to Sharpsburg Borough.
