Proclamation declaring Sunday, September 11, 2016 to be “Pittsburgh Pirates OMs in the Outfield Yoga Day” in Allegheny County.

WHEREAS, the Pittsburgh Pirates will host the 3rd Annual OMs in the Outfield Yoga Day, presented by Chelsea Collective, on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at PNC Park; and
WHEREAS, participants will receive admission to yoga practice in the outfield grass, a ticket to the Pirates vs. Reds game plus a $10 credit to use for concessions, a yoga mat with carrier, Pirates baseball cap, and special recognition during the Pirates pre-game ceremony; and
WHEREAS, more than 1,000 people will gather at PNC Park on September 11th to participate in an hour-long yoga class, providing participants with a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation bringing many mental and physical benefits; and
WHEREAS, the presenter, Chelsea Collective, is a boutique that fuses fitness and fashion for women with locations at Ross Park Mall in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Tysons Corner Center in McClean, Virginia;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Allegheny County Council does hereby recognize the Pittsburgh Pirates for providing a health and wellness opportunity to visitors of PNC Park, and we hereby declare Sunday, September 11, 2016 to be “Pittsburgh Pirates OMs in the Outfield Yoga Day” in Allegheny County.
