Proclamation honoring the life and memory of Mr. Anthony V. “Tony” Dralle of Bethel Park.

WHEREAS, Allegheny County Council does hereby honor the life of the late Anthony V. “Tony” Dralle of Bethel Park, a sweet, kind man and amateur astronomer who loved to study the stars; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dralle was a humble man and did not draw attention to the fact that he held a doctorate in physics from Carnegie Mellon University; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dralle worked as a computer programmer at Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory for 36 years; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dralle was a vital member of the Bethel Park Republican Committee serving as correspondence secretary for 16 years, and actively participating in the annual dinner/fundraiser, working on campaigns for local, state and congressional races and supporting pro-life candidates; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dralle, a devoted member of St. Louise de Marillac Church, was a man of high moral character and a prayer warrior participating in the Nocturnal Adoration Society 24-hour prayer vigils and in the Road to Emmaus weekly prayer group; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dralle loved his family and took special delight in visits with his grandson, Caleb, and the company of his dear friend and companion, Louise Schafer; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dralle passed from this life on July 26, 2016 at the age of 74;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Allegheny County Council does hereby honor the lifetime of service and achievement of Anthony V. “Tony” Dralle, and we offer our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
