WHEREAS, on Friday, July 29, 2016, during the Shiloh Church Town Hall Meeting, the South Park Police Department will be presented with the Commitment to Excellence Award in recognition of their dedicated service to the South Park community and Shiloh Church; and
WHEREAS, recognizing the changing and diverse needs of the community, the South Park Police Department promotes and encourages a policy of professional and individual excellence which is delivered and enhanced by continuing education and training; and
WHEREAS, in addition to enforcement and prevention, the South Park Police Department is a proud partner and supporter of a number of community initiatives and events; and
WHEREAS, the members of the South Park Police Department work with great dedication, courage, and unselfish resolve to protect and serve the citizens of South Park Township with an unwavering commitment to public safety; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of South Park Township and the congregation of Shiloh Church are grateful for the South Park Police Department’s exemplary accomplishments in the field of law enforcement and public safety;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Allegheny County Council, on behalf of all those who live, work, and play in South Park, we express our appreciation and recognize the efforts of the South Park Police Department and thank the Department for their steadfast commitment to outstanding service.
