Proclamation congratulating Ms. Marlene Hunt upon the occasion of her retirement from the Allegheny League of Municipalities.

WHEREAS, Ms. Marlene Hunt of Penn Hills has dedicated herself to serving the members of the Allegheny League of Municipalities (ALOM) since September 1, 2004; and
WHEREAS, Marlene has provided dedicated service to ALOM for the past 12 years as its Financial Secretary, and provided the same dedicated service to the Allegheny County Association of Township Officials, the Allegheny County and Western Pennsylvania Association of Township Commissioners and the Allegheny County Boroughs Association; and
WHEREAS, as ALOM’s most tenured employee, Marlene has developed long-standing friendships and positive working relationships with dozens of ALOM constituents. Marlene’s expertise in accounting has greatly contributed to ALOM’s effectiveness and efficiency; and
WHEREAS, as a native of Western Pennsylvania, Marlene is passionate about our region and in particular, our beloved Pittsburgh sports teams. Marlene will be retiring from ALOM on August 31, 2016, and begin working part-time at the CONSOL Energy Center during Pittsburgh Penguins games;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate and thank Ms. Marlene Hunt for her years of dedicated service to the Allegheny League of Municipalities (ALOM) upon the occasion of her retirement, and we wish her well in her future endeavors.
