Body...

WHEREAS, the Allegheny County Division of Computer Services was one of 167 organizations selected to receive the Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) 2016 Special Achievement in Geographic Information System (SAG) Award from more than 300,000 eligible organizations worldwide; and

WHEREAS, as a SAG winner, the Allegheny County Division of Computer Services was recognized for its efforts to promote, educate and advance the practical and efficient use of GIS in Allegheny County; and

WHEREAS, in addition to the SAG Award, the Allegheny County Division of Computer Services received the 2016 Excellence in Websites Award presented by the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP); and

                     WHEREAS, the Allegheny County Division of Computer Services was honored by CCAP for its outstanding communication through the use of innovative website design and practices;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate and commend the Allegheny County Division of Computer Services for earning the 2016 Special Achievement in GIS (SAG) Award from ESRI, and the 2016 Excellence in Websites Award from the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania.
