This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Kenneth James Barnhart of Boy Scout Troop 4 in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest advancement rank in Boy Scouting; less than 2 percent of all male youth are able to earn this rank. Mr. Barnhart has met all necessary requirements in areas of Leadership, Service and Outdoor Skills to advance to the Eagle Scout rank. This Council commends Mr. Barnhart’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career and his dedication to our community. For his leadership service project, Ken led Troop 4 in replacing a sidewalk, replacing outdoor carpeting, planting shrubs, trees and grass for the Noah House Project of the Emmaus Community of Pittsburgh. He was able to raise funds for the project through holding a car wash and obtaining donations from family, friends and local businesses. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Barnhart has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow. He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
