This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Jacob Robert Hebda of Boy Scout Troop 99 in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest advancement rank in Boy Scouting; less than 2 percent of all male youth are able to earn this rank. Mr. Hebda has met all necessary requirements in areas of Leadership, Service and Outdoor Skills to advance to the Eagle Scout rank. This Council commends Mr. Hebda’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career and his dedication to our community. For his leadership service project, Jacob rebuilt a planter box made of Versa-Lok stone at the base of St. Michael’s Catholic Church bell tower and he also created a display area and designed a metal stand for the original bronze bell from the original St. Michael’s Church in the town of Elizabeth. The bell was first dedicated in 1851. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Hebda has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow. He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
