An Ordinance of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Authorizing Acceptance of a 1982 Mack Pumper Truck for the Allegheny County Fire Academy.

                     Whereas, the Borough of Blawnox has offered to donate a 1982 Mack Pumper Fire Truck for use by the Allegheny County Department of Emergency Services Fire Academy, and

 

                     Whereas, the Fire Academy wishes to accept the aforesaid donation, and

 

                     Whereas, Article IV, Sections 2.j. of the Allegheny County Home Rule Charter vests the County’s Council with the power to accept donations of personal property on behalf of the County.

 

The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby enacts as follows:

 

SECTION 1.                                            Incorporation of Preamble.

 

                                          The provisions set forth in the preamble to this Ordinance are incorporated by reference as set forth in their entirety herein.

 

SECTION 2.                                          Authorization to Accept Donated Personal Property.

 

                                          County Council does hereby authorize the acceptance of a 1982 Mack Pumper Fire Truck donated by the Borough of Blawnox for the Allegheny County Fire Academy.  The appropriate County officers and officials are authorized to take such action as is necessary to carry out the purposes of the authorization granted herein.

 

 

SECTION 3.                                          Severability.  If any provision of this Ordinance shall be determined to be unlawful, invalid, void or unenforceable, then that provision shall be considered severable from the remaining provisions of this Ordinance, which shall be in full force and effect.

 

 

 

SECTION 4.                                          Repealer.  Any Resolution or Ordinance or part thereof conflicting with the provisions of this Ordinance is hereby repealed so far as the same affects this Ordinance.
