This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Michael J. Behr of Boy Scout Troop 248 in recognition of having met all necessary requirements to advance to the Eagle Scout ranking within the Boy Scouts of America. Eagle Scout is the highest Boy Scout rank; only five percent of all Boy Scouts earn this rank.  This Council commends Mr. Behr’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career and his dedication to improving the community. For his service project, Michael fabricated and installed deer-proof fencing at the Pittsburgh Botanical Gardens to protect over 80 different species of fragile and endangered plants and young trees from deer overbrowsing. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Michael J. Behr has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow.  He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

 

This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Lochlann (Lake) Gilbert of Boy Scout Troop 248 in recognition of having met all necessary requirements to advance to the Eagle Scout ranking within the Boy Scouts of America. Eagle Scout is the highest Boy Scout rank; only five percent of all Boy Scouts earn this rank.  This Council commends Mr. Gilbert’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career and his dedication to improving the community. For his service project, Lake repaired and extended a fence line along the Panhandle Trail in Oakdale. The project involved a significant amount of planning and obtaining approvals from the Oakdale Borough and Allegheny County. Lake held fundraising events for the purchase of materials and supplies, and he led a workforce which extended the fence line to over 100 feet long, providing a safety barrier for people using the trail.  Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Lochlann (Lake) Gilbert has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow.  He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

Magdich of Boy Scout Troop 248 in recognition of having met all necessary requirements to advance to the Eagle Scout ranking within the Boy Scouts of America. Eagle Scout is the highest Boy Scout rank; only five percent of all Boy Scouts earn this rank.  This Council commends Mr. Magdich’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career and his dedication to improving the community. For his service project, Noah raised funds and installed an upgraded climate control system in the Scott Township K-9 Patrol Vehicle and funded the purchase of a bulletproof/stab-proof K-9 vest for the Scott Township K-9 Officer Lord.  The balance of the funds earned was donated to the Scott Township Police Department for future use and care of the K-9 unit. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Noah V. Magdich has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow.  He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

Mavrich of Boy Scout Troop 248 in recognition of having met all necessary requirements to advance to the Eagle Scout ranking within the Boy Scouts of America. Eagle Scout is the highest Boy Scout rank; only five percent of all Boy Scouts earn this rank.  This Council commends Mr. Mavrich’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career and his dedication to improving the community. For his service project, Nathan built and installed pollinator insect shelters to assist with the pollination of plants, flowers, and vegetables in Raccoon Creek State Park. Nathan led a crew that built 20 colony houses; 10 were installed in designated areas of the park, while 10 additional houses were provided to the park ecology staff for future use. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Nathan P. Mavrich has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow.  He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

Starkman of Boy Scout Troop 248 in recognition of having met all necessary requirements to advance to the Eagle Scout ranking within the Boy Scouts of America. Eagle Scout is the highest Boy Scout rank; only five percent of all Boy Scouts earn this rank.  This Council commends Mr. Starkman’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career and his dedication to improving the community. For his service project, Michael planned, coordinated, and carried out a youth ministries work party, undertaking maintenance work benefitting those in need and Crossroads Church in North Fayette Township. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Michael A. Starkman has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow.  He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

Supan of Boy Scout Troop 248 in recognition of having met all necessary requirements to advance to the Eagle Scout ranking within the Boy Scouts of America. Eagle Scout is the highest Boy Scout rank; only five percent of all Boy Scouts earn this rank.  This Council commends Mr. Supan’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career and his dedication to improving the community. For his service project, Cory built a sidewalk to and around a flag pole, he planted flowers and led a group of volunteers that built two concrete platforms and installed twenty (20) refurbished seats that came from Camden Yards, the professional baseball stadium, at Fairview Park in South Fayette Township. These seats overlook a baseball field and a multipurpose field at the park.  Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Cory J. Supan has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow.  He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
