Motion of the Council of Allegheny County authorizing Allegheny County Council to conduct a public hearing, pursuant to the Tax Increment Financing Act of July 11, 1990, P.L. 465 No. 113, to afford interested parties an opportunity to express their views regarding Bill No. 10017-17, a resolution approving the first amendment to the Shannon Transit Village Tax Increment Financing Plan, located in the Borough of Castle Shannon, Allegheny County.

The hearing will allow opportunity for comments by the general public to express their views on the proposed amendment to the existing tax increment financing plan. Individuals wishing to speak must register in advance at least 24 hours before the scheduled beginning of the hearing, and in accordance with all applicable rules governing public comment at Council meetings.
Notice of the hearing shall be published in accordance with the terms of the act of July 3, 1986 (P.L. 388, No. 84), known as the Sunshine Act, and the Tax Increment Financing Act, supra, and said notice shall be provided by first class mail, postage prepaid, to the governing body of any municipality or school district that levies property taxes within the boundaries of the proposed tax increment district. This notice shall be provided not less than 30 days before the date of the hearing.
The hearing shall be scheduled to occur on April 17, 2017 at 4:00 pm in the 4th Floor Gold Room of the Allegheny County Court House, 436 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15219. The hearing shall be conducted in accordance with the Tax Increment Financing Act of July 11,1990, P.L. 465 No. 113. The Chief Clerk is authorized and directed to advertise the same. In accordance with Council’s Rules, Council Members Walton, Palmiere, and Futules have committed to attend the hearing.
