Proclamation congratulating Whitehall Borough Police Chief Donald Dolfi upon the occasion of his retirement after 42 years of dedicated service.

WHEREAS, Donald Dolfi joined the Whitehall Borough Police force on January 1, 1975 and will retire on March 31, 2017 after 42 years of dedicated service; and
WHEREAS, Officer Dolfi was promoted to Lieutenant on October 1, 1983 and promoted to Chief in 2005; and
WHEREAS, during his first 11 years as chief, Mr. Dolfi oversaw the hiring of nine patrolmen, the promotion of three sergeants and one deputy chief; and
WHEREAS, Chief Dolfi’s accomplishments are many and varied, and have established Whitehall’s Police Department as a model on a national scale; and
WHEREAS, Chief Dolfi has diligently protected the people and property of Whitehall Borough over the course of his exemplary 42-year career, and his dedication to serving the community has earned both the esteem and the respect of the citizens of Allegheny County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Council of Allegheny County do hereby congratulate Police Chief Donald Dolfi upon the occasion of his retirement after 42 years of dedicated service to the Whitehall Borough Police, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
