Proclamation congratulating Mr. Jason Fincke upon the occasion of his retirement as the Executive Director of the Builders Guild of Western Pennsylvania.

WHEREAS, after 38 years of dedicated public service, Mr. Jason Fincke, of Upper St. Clair, has officially retired; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Fincke, a Duquesne University journalism graduate, was hired by the public transportation agency, the Port Authority of Allegheny County in 1978 as assistant manager of marketing and media relations; and
WHEREAS, in 2002, Mr. Fincke was promoted to Chief of Staff in the Office of the Chief Executive, overseeing 3,000 employees, until he took an early retirement in 2006, after 28 years of service for the Port Authority of Allegheny County; and
WHEREAS, following his retirement from the Port Authority, Mr. Fincke joined the nonprofit Builders Guild of Western Pennsylvania as its Executive Director, forging positive labor, management and community relationships; and
WHEREAS, after a decade of service for the Builders Guild of Western Pennsylvania, Mr. Fincke has officially retired;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate Mr. Jason Fincke upon the occasion of his retirement. His long and distinguished service deserves the accolades of our citizenry, and this Council wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.
