This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Matthew Loughran in recognition of earning the 2017 Scott E. Folmer Memorial Student, Teacher and Exemplary Practice or Partnering (STEPP) Student Award presented by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) Local Task Force on the Right to Education.  The award recognizes the outstanding support of children receiving special education services.  Matthew, a Senior at Mt. Lebanon High School, befriended a young man with a disability and their friendship has enriched both of their lives. This Council congratulates Mr. Matthew Loughran for earning the 2017 STEPP Student Award. Matthew serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

 

This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Ms. Olivia Massari in recognition of earning Honorable Mention for the 2017 Scott E. Folmer Memorial Student, Teacher and Exemplary Practice or Partnering (STEPP) Student Award presented by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) Local Task Force on the Right to Education.  The award recognizes the outstanding support of children receiving special education services.  Olivia, a sixth-grader in the Neil Armstrong Middle School of the Bethel Park School District, was nominated for the STEPP Award by her teacher. Olivia was recognized for silently helping classmates and serving as a quiet warrior for students with disabilities.  This Council congratulates Ms. Olivia Massari for earning Honorable Mention for the 2017 STEPP Student Award. Olivia serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

 

This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Ms. Donna Greenawald in recognition of earning the 2017 Scott E. Folmer Memorial Student, Teacher and Exemplary Practice or Partnering (STEPP) Staff Award presented by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) Local Task Force on the Right to Education.  The award recognizes the outstanding support of children receiving special education services. Ms. Greenawald, a Secretary in the Special Education Department for the South Allegheny School District, was selected for the Staff Award for going the extra mile for the district’s students with special needs. This Council congratulates Ms. Donna Greenawald for earning the 2017 STEPP Staff Award. Ms. Greenawald serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

 

This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to the Independence Middle School of the Bethel Park School District in recognition of earning the 2017 Scott E. Folmer Memorial Student, Teacher and Exemplary Practice or Partnering (STEPP) District/Partnering Award presented by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) Local Task Force on the Right to Education.  This award recognizes a school, a school based program or school district that has developed an exemplary practice to support the education of children receiving special education services or fostered the partnering of students, parents and professional staff to benefit students receiving special education services.  Independence Middle School was nominated for the award by parent Mr. Bob Doman. This Council congratulates Independence Middle School and teachers Carol Chonoska, Kristen Fonda, Cara Hritz, Jennifer Makel and Principal David Muench for earning the 2017 STEPP District/Partnering Award. Independence Middle School serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.
