Proclamation congratulating the Bethel Woman’s Club upon the occasion of its 75th anniversary.
Body...
WHEREAS, the Bethel Woman’s Club was founded in 1941 to support the public library and volunteer fire department; and
WHEREAS, in addition to supporting the Bethel Park Public Library and the Bethel Park Volunteer Fire Company, the Bethel Woman’s Club supports the Bethel Park Police Department, the Bethel Park Community Center, The Woman’s Place, Meals on Wheels, the Salvation Army, and many others; and
WHEREAS, one of the Club’s charitable traditions include providing a $3,000 scholarship to an exceptional high school senior graduating from Bethel Park High School; and
WHEREAS, the example set by the Bethel Woman’s Club and their members, both past and present, illustrate the importance and impact that leadership from community service clubs provide toward the continued enhancement of our communities;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate the Bethel Woman’s Club upon the occasion of their 75th anniversary, and we recognize and thank the Club for its 75 years of charitable contributions to the community.
