Proclamation congratulating Ms. Nancy Ramirez upon the occasion of her retirement after 40 years of dedicated service to Allegheny County.

WHEREAS, Ms. Nancy Ramirez will officially retire on May 31, 2017 after 40 years of dedicated service to Allegheny County; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Ramirez began her career with Allegheny County on April 7, 1977 as a Clerk Stenographer, and on July 1, 1980, she became a Payroll Technician for the Department of Computer Services; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Ramirez was promoted to Lead Payroll Technician on June 18, 1990. In 2006, the payroll division of the Department of Computer Services was transferred to the Department of Human Resources. On July 20, 2009, Ms. Ramirez joined the Allegheny County Controller’s Office as a Payroll Technician; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Ramirez has dedicated 40 years to performing her duties with the kindness, patience, compassion and genuine caring that has provided support to her colleagues and the residents of Allegheny County; and
WHEREAS, we join with Ms. Ramirez’s family, friends, and co-workers in expressing sincere appreciation for her 40 years of service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Allegheny County Council, along with Allegheny County Controller Chelsa Wagner, does hereby congratulate Ms. Nancy Ramirez upon the occasion of her retirement after 40 years of dedicated service to Allegheny County. Her long and distinguished service deserves the accolades of our citizenry, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
