Proclamation congratulating the 2017 Mooseheart Community Spirit Award winners.
Body...
WHEREAS, it is the duty of Allegheny County Council to recognize and honor outstanding individuals and organizations in Allegheny County for their extraordinary achievements; and
WHEREAS, the Mooseheart Community Spirit Awards, founded by Mr. Joseph Wall in 2006 as a project of the Highland Moose Lodge #2699, recognizes individuals that have dedicated their lives to the betterment of youth and senior populations in our region; and
WHEREAS, recipients of the 2017 Mooseheart Community Spirit Awards include:
Linda Duty
Susan Fisher
Jack “Johnny Angel” Hunt
George Miller
Tom Tappe; and
WHEREAS, each 2017 Mooseheart Community Spirit Awardee serves as an outstanding example of dedicated civic leadership and responsibility, and we are glad to count these volunteers among the residents of our great County;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Allegheny County Council does hereby congratulate the 2017 Mooseheart Community Spirit Award winners, and we commend their honorable service to the people of Allegheny County and Western Pennsylvania.
