Motion of the Council of Allegheny County approving the attached guidelines for the nine Friends of the Parks Councils.

WHEREAS, the Councils of Friends were established in all nine County parks in 2002, under the terms of ordinance 54-02-OR; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to ordinance 54-02-OR, the Councils of Friends were established as County agencies, with their structure and general duties delineated; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of County Council to establish more specific guidelines for the activities of the Councils of Friends, and the attached guidelines were affirmatively recommended by the Committee on Parks on May 31, 2017;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS MOVED THAT THE COUNCIL OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY,
That the attached guidelines for the Friends of the Park Councils, dated May 31, 2017 are hereby approved for immediate distribution to all nine Friends Councils.
