An Ordinance of the County of Allegheny, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, authorizing South Park Boxing, Inc. to use a structure on Hundred Acres Drive in the County’s South Park.

Whereas, South Park Boxing, Inc. is currently using a structure on Hundred Acres Drive near the Hundred Acres Manor Haunted House, and also near the intersection of E. Park Drive, and has done so for many years, for the purpose of conducting a boxing school and holding boxing matches; and
Whereas, South Park Boxing, Inc. wishes to continue to use the structure on Hundred Acres Drive without interruption; and
Whereas, South Park Boxing, Inc. has offered boxing lessons to many people and has maintained the structure and has been solely responsible for all insurance and required permits, licenses, etc. for related services;
Whereas, County Council believes that permitting South Park Boxing Inc. to use the designated area in the County’s South Park for the use as a boxing activities will inure to the benefit of the citizens of Allegheny County; and
Whereas, Article IV, Section 2(k) of the Allegheny County Home Rule Charter vests County Council with the power and duty by ordinance to lease or permit the use of County real property.
The Council of the County of Allegheny hereby enacts as follows:
SECTION 1. Incorporation of the Preamble.
The provisions set forth in the preamble to this Ordinance are incorporated by reference as set forth in their entirety herein.
SECTION 2. Authorization to permit the use of County Real Property.
Allegheny County Council hereby approves the continued use of a structure on Hundred Acres Drive in the County’s South Park by South Hills Boxing, Inc.
The term of this authorization begins on October 1, 2017, and continues through September 30, 2018.
The proper officers of the County are hereby authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to effectuate the authorization granted by this legislation.
