The City Theatre Company, established in 1975 as the City Players, is the largest theatre in Pittsburgh dedicated to a full season of all new work, commissioning and producing plays by writers at the forefront of the industry. On Friday, November 2, 2018 the City Theatre Company will have a New Ground Phase II Groundbreaking Ceremony to celebrate the Theatre’s new Philip Chosky Production Center. We recognize the creativity and inspiration that City Theatre Company brings to Pittsburgh and Allegheny County, and we join in the celebration of the groundbreaking ceremony and we wish the Theatre all the best in its future endeavors.
