Proclamation recognizing the forty talented young professionals who participated in the 40 Under 40 Program, based on their passion, commitment, visibility, diversity and overall impact on the region.

WHEREAS, each year, Pittsburgh Magazine and PUMP sponsor the 40 Under 40 program with the goal of recognizing 40 people under the age of 40 who are committed to shaping our region and making it a better place for everyone to live, work and play; and
WHEREAS, since 1998, the awards program has recognized over 700 artists, entrepreneurs, doctors, educators, nonprofit executives, public figures, business leaders, behind-the-scenes contributors, and more. The 40 Under 40 honorees are diverse, passionate and committed difference makers that are dedicated to transforming our region through their professional and community contributions; and
WHEREAS, the 2018 honorees, selected from a pool of 240 candidates, were chosen by an independent panel of judges, comprised of former winners, business professionals and civic leaders. On Friday, November 1, 2018 at the Rivers Casino Ballroom, the forty awardees will be honored for their professional and community achievements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Allegheny County Council Member Tom Baker, do hereby recognize and congratulate the following 2018 40 Under 40 honorees: Lisa M.
