Proclamation congratulating Franklin Park Borough Manager, Ambrose Rocca, for 21 years of service and dedication to his community.

WHEREAS, “the price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.” That quote by Vince Lombardi depicts the true essence of Mr. Ambrose Rocca and his years dedicated to Franklin Park Borough as the Borough Manager; and
WHEREAS, hired on September 2, 1997, Mr. Rocca has been with the Borough for 21 years and has served his community in a time of growth; and
WHEREAS, as Borough Manager, Mr. Rocca continually severed the best interest of the Mayor, Council Members, employees and residents of Franklin Park Borough. He remained dedicated to going above and beyond of what was expected of him as Borough Manager; and
WHEREAS, over the years as Manager, Mr. Rocca attended hundreds of meetings of the Borough Council, Planning Commission, Zoning Hearing Board, Recreation Board and Environmental Advisory Council; a responsibility required to keep Council fully advised of the Borough’s conditions and needs; and
WHEREAS, during Mr. Rocca’s time in office, he actively served as the Chairman of the North Hills Council of Governments Managers Advisory Committee, the Allegheny League of Municipalities Deferred Compensation Committee, and the finance committee for Northland Public Library. He also played an influential role in authorizing a study that enabled the transfer of sanitary sewer lines to the McCandless Township Sanitary Authority (MTSA); and
WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Borough, Mr. Rocca saw an increase in home construction, population, and infrastructure. He was also a key component in the bond issue to finance the new state-of-the-art Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company station, also serving on the building committee during construction;
