Proclamation congratulating Director James P. Reardon upon the occasion of receiving the Frank J. Lucchino Distinguished Service Award

WHEREAS, Mr. James P. Reardon was selected as the 2018 recipient of the Frank J. Lucchino Distinguished Service Award; and
WHEREAS, since 1980, Mr. Reardon has worked for the county as an electrician and is currently the Director of Department of Facilities Management; and
WHEREAS, nominated by the Manager of Administration of Facilities Management, Nancy DiNardo, in the category of Customer Service, Mr. Reardon has displayed 38 years of superior work in Allegheny County; and
WHEREAS, first employed with Allegheny County as an electrician, Mr. Reardon was quickly promoted to foreman and subsequently an electrical supervisor; in June 2015, he was promoted to Assistant Deputy Director, then to Deputy Director, and ultimately the Director of Facilities Management in February 2017; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Reardon’s impressive history with the county and hands-on management truly makes him an invaluable source of information about the county’s facilities and assets. His willingness to communicate and collaborate with all individuals has contributed to his success and built meaningful and trusting relationships. As a Director, Mr. Reardon is dedicated to being involved in all aspects of work being done around the county - no matter the time of day, day of the week, weather, or holiday; and
WHEREAS, Allegheny County is grateful for the service and dedicate of Director James Reardon and his determination to provide superior service to every individual that encounters the county;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Allegheny County Council Member Nick Futules, do hereby recognize and congratulate Director James P. Reardon upon the occasion of receiving the Frank J. Lucchino Distinguished Service Award, and on behalf of Allegheny County Council, I commend him for all that he has done for the county, each and every day.
