Proclamation recognizing Rajeev R. Godse, a Junior at Fox Chapel High School for obtaining a perfect score on the Advance Placement Statistics exam.

WHEREAS, Fox Chapel Area High School junior, Rajeev R. Godse was one of just two students in the world to receive a perfect score on the Advanced Placement (AP) Statistics Exam; and
WHEREAS, AP Examinations are offered by the College Board every May and are used as means of assessing how much a student has learned in the course and whether it merits for college credits. AP Examinations are scored on a scale of one to five; a five is equivalent to an A in a college course. Rajeev was among 222,501 students who took the AP test in May 2018, and as a sophomore, Rajeev received a perfect score of 5; and
WHEREAS, Rajeev’s impressive and extensive academic success has resulted in him receiving a perfect score in the following exams: SAT; SAT Math Level 2; SAT Physics; PSAT, which decides National Merit Scholarship; and a perfect score in three other AP Exams; and
WHEREAS, as an active participant in the following student bodies: director of Model United Nations and Forensics, president of the math club (mu, alpha, theta), and co-president of the Stock Club; Rajeev utilized his skills obtained from those various organizations to achieve several first-place rankings in various local, state, and interstate tournaments: PA Junior Academy of Science, Pittsburgh Regional Science and Engineer Fair, and Model United Nations and Forensics; and
WHEREAS, Rajeev’s talents go beyond the classroom as well. He is a consummate chess and bridge player, and a skilled recreational keyboard and drums player;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Council Member Anita Prizio do hereby commend and recognize Rajeev R. Godse upon receiving a perfect AP Statistics Exam score, and I congratulate him on setting a high precedent for all students in Allegheny County.
