In the 1970’s, Barbara joined the Women’s Auxiliary and was active in the organization’s bingo, kitchen, funerals, and other fundraising events. As a member of the combined fire company, Barbara served on the Board of Directors for the Relief Association. This Council acknowledges Barbara Mierzejek for her dedicated services and commitment to the West Deer Volunteer Fire Department #1. She truly serves as an inspiration to this Council and the residents of Allegheny County.
