This Certificate of Recognition is presented to Zora Caroll for her service as a volunteer to the West Deer Volunteer Fire Department #1. In the 1960’s, Zora founded the Women’s Auxiliary and was its first president for a number of years. She was also one of the founders of the West Deer EMS and ran with the crew until it became a paid service. The EMS building was built with Zora’s leadership. Over the years, Zora has been influential in organizing many of the fire departments major fundraisers such as the countdown drawing. This Council acknowledges Zora Caroll for her dedicated services and commitment to the West Deer Volunteer Fire Department #1. She truly serves as an inspiration to this Council and the residents of Allegheny County.
