This Certificate is presented to Amanda Kirby in recognition of her years dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our neighborhood and the community as a whole. From 2011 to present, Amanda has had an extensive and impressive career at the Western Allegheny Community Library. During her tenure, the library has undergone major renovations in the children's department, built a beautiful backyard space, and secured a Keystone grant which helped fund our new roof. Amanda assisted in developing numerous policies and procedures that facilitated mainstream productivity, and she served on many committees to improve library services county wide. Amanda has continued to introduce new and innovative ideas, programs, and even circulation items throughout her tenure with Western Allegheny Community Library. As Library Director, Amanda was influential in helping the library become the first Gold Star Library in Allegheny County. This Council recognizes Amanda Kirby for her passion and dedication to the Western Allegheny Community Library, and we commend her enthusiasm in spreading the love of reading to others throughout the county.
