Motion of the Council of Allegheny County adopting the Rules of Council.

Whereas, the current Rules of Council were last extensively reviewed and amended in 2008; and
Whereas, Council’s Executive Committee, which bears responsibility for evaluating potential changes to the Rules of Council, conducted an extensive review of the existing Rules, and recommended a number of changes to them at its October 14, 2020 meeting; and
Whereas, it is the desire of Council to adopt the alterations recommended by the Executive Committee, as reflected in the redlined copy of the Rules of Council attached to this Motion;
The Council of the County of Allegheny therefore hereby moves as follows:
Allegheny County Council hereby adopts the attached Rules of Council, effective immediately.
