Proclamation declaring Monday, April 12, 2021 to be “412Thrive Day” in Allegheny County.

WHEREAS, 412Thrive is a Pittsburgh based non-profit 501(c)(3) ran by Christine Adamek and Samantha Moatz; and
WHEREAS, the organization is dedicated to serving individuals impacted by breast cancer and genetic mutations that lead to cancer; and
WHEREAS, 412Thrive provides funding for patient resources as well as support through wellness events that focus on life both during, and after cancer; and
WHEREAS, 412Thrive strives to create a support system that makes everyone feel secure and included; and
WHEREAS, by offering online and in-person support, monthly gatherings, educational workshops, wellness retreats, care packages, and meals when needed, 412Thrive is devoted to helping individuals do more than survive-they help them thrive;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Allegheny County Council Member Tom Baker, do hereby declare Monday, April 12, 2021 to be “412Thrive Day” in Allegheny County. We commend the efforts of 412Thrive, and we renew our commitment to fighting this disease, raising awareness, and supporting those affected by cancer.
