Proclamation recognizing Ed and Janet Henke upon the momentous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.

WHEREAS, Ed and Janet Henke are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on August 20, 2021; and
WHEREAS, Ed and Janet were married at Resurrection Church in the Brookline section of Pittsburgh on August 20, 1971; and
WHEREAS, Ed and Janet started a family and had two children, Karen and Daniel. Ed and Janet also have four grandchildren, Lucy, Alice, Dominic and Alyssa; and
WHEREAS, Ed and Janet have demonstrated the meaning of true love, which is often interpreted to mean a love that includes respect, admiration, care, and never subjecting your partner to hurt, humiliation or any form of abuse. After 50 years, it would be hard to argue that Ed and Janet have not found the meaning of true love; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Allegheny County Council Member John Palmiere, do hereby congratulate Ed and Janet Henke on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and wish them continued health, happiness and love for one another.
