Proclamation recognizing the “King of Vinyl” Rich Antoncic for his 60 years of dedication to entertaining people throughout the county.

WHEREAS, Disc Jockey Jonas Blue once said, “anyone can be a DJ but its understanding how to read a crowd and keeping them on the floor is what takes years of experience.”; and
WHEREAS, that quote truly personifies the “King of Vinyl” Rich Antoncic and his superior disc jockey skills; and
WHEREAS, from a young age, Port Vue native, Rich Antoncic always had a passion for music and creating a carefree and fun atmosphere for people; and
WHEREAS, for six decades, Rich has been spinning vinyl and getting people onto the dance floor as one of the region’s popular disc jockeys; and
WHEREAS, on November 13 a celebration in honor of Rich’s 60th anniversary as a disc jockey will take place at the White Oak American Legion, and all money raised will go to the White Oak Rotary Club;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that I, Allegheny County Council Vice President Bob Macey do hereby recognize the “King of Vinyl” Rich Antoncic for his 60 years of dedication to entertaining people throughout the county.
