Proclamation recognizing Goat Rodeo Farm & Dairy for their “Bamboozle” cheese winning best in show at the 106th annual Pennsylvania Farm Show.

WHEREAS, in 2015, India and Steve Loevner founded Goat Rodeo Farm & Dairy; and
WHEREAS, the 130-acre family-owned farm in Indiana Township has a herd of more than 100 Alpine and Nubian dairy goats; and
WHEREAS, Goat Rodeo Farm & Dairy makes a variety of fresh and aged cheeses using their own goats’ milk combined with cow’s milk from Le-Ara Farms in Armstrong County; and
WHEREAS, Goat Rodeo Farm & Dairy participated in the 106th annual Pennsylvania Farm Show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, the farm’s signature beer-washed goat and cow’s milk cheese, “Bamboozle”, was named best in show. This unique cheese is aged for at least two months and washed with “Tracks Again,” an unfiltered pilsner from Cinderlands Beer Co. in the Strip District; and
WHEREAS, Goat Rodeo Farm & Dairy produces a total of six kinds of cheese, all of which have been recognized at various farm shows such as the annual American Cheese Society competition; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that I, Allegheny County Council Member Anita Prizio, do hereby recognize Goat Rodeo Farm & Dairy for their “Bamboozle” cheese winning best in show at the 106th annual Pennsylvania Farm Show.
