At
the Regular Meeting of Allegheny County Council held on December 4, 2007,
Council passed the attached Motion (Bill No. 3599-07) urging the Pennsylvania
General Assembly to move with all deliberate speed in permitting all counties
within the Commonwealth to avail themselves of supplemental revenue streams that
are currently available only to Philadelphia and Allegheny
County.
The
Motion was sponsored by Council Member Michael Finnerty and was approved by a
10-4-1 vote, with Council Members Burn, Cleary, DeFazio, Ellenbogen, Finnerty,
Frazier, Macey, Martoni, Robinson, and Fitzgerald voting aye; Council Members
Drozd, Fawcett, Gastgeb, and Rea voting no; and Council Member Futules
abstaining.
