This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Samuel J. Miller, Jr. in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, scouting’s most distinguished honor. We commend Mr. Miller’s diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career, his growth as a troop leader, and his dedication to our community. For his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Miller organized a Pennsylvania Child Identification Program (PA CHIP) at South Fayette High School. He also worked with The Free & Accepted Masons of Oakdale Lodge No. 669 to assist over 50 families. In addition to his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Miller achieved 48 Merit Badges and held several leadership positions within Troop 248. Throughout his participation in the Boy Scouts, Mr. Miller has set a high standard of commitment and fervor that the youth of our great county may follow. He serves as an inspiration to this Council and to the citizens of Allegheny County.

This Certificate of Achievement is awarded to Mr. Peter A. Poplos in recognition of his attainment of the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, scouting’s most distinguished honor. We commend Mr. Poplos’ diligence and skill: two traits he has displayed throughout his scouting career, his growth as a troop leader, and his dedication to our community. For his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Poplos developed and managed a recycling program for All Saints Greek Orthodox Church. The revenue from the recycled materials were donated to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. In addition to his Eagle Scout project, Mr. Poplos achieved 41 Merit Badges and held several leadership positions within Troop 248.
